So I've accomplished pretty much nothing during the entirity of November. I've lost my Camera so no pictures will be uploaded until I can replace it.
Eitherway couple of updates. Finnally got the Chaos Space Marine Codex. Got it via ebay and I'm a happy. Also got a couple of marines, one Chaos and one Loyalist from ebay as well.
Also might be doing a trial game soon. Set up a playable force out of what a friend had for guard, but I need to do the points counting and stuff to see how much I can use of my marines should he wish to play soon. I was fairly limited so there is not much besides guardsmen with flash lights.
Anyway, thats it for now.

Still More Writer's Block
So still having the same overall issues I had for last week's post over a week later.
I have no idea how I want to paint these marines and I keep thinking that perhaps I just want to do them up as more Black Consuls.
On another side I got in the mail today a miniture I ordered off of ebay. It was one of the old Terminators and I must say I am far from impressed. The nose seems to have been filed down slightly and old paint job was still on there to some degree, though I was expecting it to still be on there. Just a little upset about the nose, to bad I already submitted the feedback.
On top of that I seem to have found out the hard way that at one point Games Workshop did indeed increase the size of their models as he stands on a 25mm base instead of a 40mm and measures the same as a normal marine. I'm hoping to use him for bits, snaging the arms and sawing off the cyclone pack to mount on a newer terminator. I also wonder if the later metal terminators compare size wise to the newer plastic ones.
Incidentally due to Ebay I have been getting a small Imperial Guard Force. Want to have them support the marines for fluff purposes.

Sorry For The Delay...
As the title says I apologize for the delay in my weekly posting. Not much has been going on I'm afraid.
Due to the sporadic nicety of the weather I have been able to prime the next batch of marines, but I've been thinking that I wish to move away from Black Consuls. As I have said numerous times in the past (albeit I don't think I ever had here) I have wanted to do both Space Marines and Imperial Guard. However to be able to do so I'd have to work it in an apocalypse game. Makes sense but I also want the fluff to make sense too. Somehow playing a supposedly wiped out chapter doesn't seem to fit that bill.
Also I've gotten thinking that I want to work on this "Golden Bolter" competition put on by the folks at Bolter and Chainsword. Here is the link to the rules for the competition. I know I don't stand a chance compared to some of the people there but I figure why not? I have enough time and at the same time I'm not losing anything if I don't win. Also if I do somehow manage to win, then either I'm on the right path (as I doubt very much my stuff is golden demon quality) or some online game store really liked my submission(s).
Now back to the secondary issue with these newly primed guys. Their coat is of gray, not black. I could not find any black primer so I settled with gray as it is closer to black then white. However I believe that it might alter the layering so the black is not as smooth. Therefore I wonder again if Black Consuls are the good choice here?
Also I tried to do a little over up work on one of the models. It is an old blood angels Sergeant that the previous owner had filed down the chest blood drop to be even with the wings. Well I came up with the idea of snagging a skull off of a banner pole, cutting it in half so it's trimmed down, and using it as a replacement to the drop on the chest. Well I didn't trim it down enough and now it kind bulges out like a sore thumb. It would help if I had more bits to put on him to try and draw away but I fire that unless I get a vice, clamp, or something similar it's going to be a little over sized. I'll put up pictures eventually.
The more I think about it the more fluff I have pop into my head to draw these new guys away from being Black Consuls.
Anyway night all, and I'll try and post on time next time.
